I've never owned a P90, but I know this problem plagues VFC SCARs. I know with the SCAR it is never an issue of the tappet, and is always an issue of nozzle misalignment. If the BB was causing nozzle drag, then short stroking your tappet would fix the issue.

Yep. If it was actually because the nozzle was returning too slowly you could fix it by lowering the rate of fire or short stroking the tappet. If that doesn't fix it, I really don't think its a tappet issue.

I'm pretty sure I also tested with a 7.4 and it still had the issue, but I have a 2nd gun here at the moment and as soon as I clear a couple client guns off my bench, I will swap the gearbox into the goood gun and test... and then swap the good gun tappet spring into the old box in the old gun.
The old gun has a really old tm body, so I'm wondering if it is suspect.

That's entirely possible.
I'm just saying that I really don't believe it to be a tappet issue, and I'm 99% sure its a nozzle misalignment issue. |

well oddly, there is very little discussion anywhere bout a resolution of this kind of issue, it's not discussed very often, but I've had it happen twice on my gun. The first time is when I bought it used, I fixed it by buying a CA gun and putting the gearbox into the tm body. It originally had a E1/KS gearobx in it. I replaced everything in it and it still didn't shoot. In the new gearbox, I put all of the old components and it worked fine.
If this is also the case this time, I don't know what to tell you. lol.

There isn't much on this issue, but I did write this up on how to fix nozzle misalignment.
