High pitched sound on my WE M4A1
Hello,
I recently had motor grip problems that turned out to be caused by a burnt out motor. So I tried replacing the motor with a stock tokyo marui one from another gun, and I can get it to fire. The problem is that the gun sounds like the motor height is way too high, but when I turn the adjustment screw to let the motor lower, it disengages from the gearbox. I fiddled around with the screw while testing the motor height, and I can either get too high of a sound or too low of a motor. I can't find a sweet spot, should I just bring it to a gun tech? -Jason |

at this point yes. The gears are not shimmed to the different pinion gear of the marui motor, so the sound changes.
You'll ether need a new shim job or if the pinions are compatible, you can have the pinion from the WE motor swapped to your marui. Or both.
