Using two motors by each trigger pull

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make a custom M4 Pepperbox after seeing Killbucket's weapon.
I would like to make the barrells roll while pulling the trigger. For that, i'm using a second motor with a 1 cell (3,7V) LiPo battery (the gun runs with a 7,4V).
Could someone please help me, how i should wire it?
I'm looking for the easiest way, not necessarily the cheapest. Should i use mosfets or relay (or something else)?

Thanks in advance,
Aeren

pretty sure you can do it with any mosfet. You'd want something more robust than like a pico fet in case the amperage draw is really high.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBsqm1sw_G8 6 gearboxes, 1 battery, 1 mosfet, 1 trigger.

not entirely sure how you could wire it. I still think you could do it with 1 fet and 2 batteries.

I don't really get what you mean by barrel roll, do you mean like a Gatling gun? I think there are many ways of doing this. If you want to run separate power sources, you could put a microswitch at the trigger so that the secondary (barrel rolling?) circuit completes when you pull the trigger.

Or

You could run both circuits off of one mosfet and power source and step down the voltage for the secondary circuit.

Or

Use a sound-activated switch for the secondary circuit. I think this is the easiest but not as reliable.

Just take ideas from machine guns and their bb loaders.

Was confused at first, but probably easier to understand if you add pics

Its pretty much a bog standard M4 with a set of fake rotating barrels powered by a motor mounted to the side of the thing.

Yep, this one is it. Mine looks different, but the logic behind s pretty much the same.
I didn't want to go into detail, because it's irrelevant from the electrical point of view.

Oh, so the barrels revolve around the actual shooting barrel? Because that would change things, since timing is not as important if the rolling barrels don't actually shoot.

I think the suggestions I made above should work.

In the MG project I'm working on, I'm going to be using a voltage regulator hooked up to the gun's circuitry, running off the same power supply. The voltage received by the secondary motor will be controlled by a voltage regulator.
