Ztac Zsordin Z111 microphone problem
Anyone electrically minded know if it makes sense. My sordin headset was cutting in and out so I narrowed it down to a loose mic. Took the housing off and the yellow wire was hanging. The white is soldered the the silver shielding. It looks like the yellow might have been connected to the eyelet that is also the bendable metal to adjust the mic arm? Does it make sense to connect that way, seems weird to me. I tried holding the stripped yellow against the eyelet with no change.

Fixed the issue, looks like it was due to the plastic housing around the mic letting it twist and eventually snap the yellow wire. I took the ear piece off to have a look at the other end of the mic / adjustable arm to confirm wiring. So the white wire from the mic is attached to the shielding on both sides and the yellow wire is directly connected to the thick metal adjustable arm on both sides. removed the old solder from the connection that snapped and re-soldered the wire back down. works like a charm now although i will most likely do some reinforcements to vulnerable spots to prevent this again in the future. Hope this helps anyone who ran into a similar issue.
