Removing gas tube from GBBR

Hey guys.

Just a quick question! The gas tubes on GBBR's are all mock solid aluminum or steel tubes im assuming...I have a kjw m4 cqb and I just took off the front sight and my gas tube slid right out when I picked up the gun. Now, im wondering, do I need to run a gas block instead of the front sight? Or is it plausible just to keep the gas tube removed as it is seemingly useless other than to hold the forearm rail system in place?

When i shot the gun without the rail in I didn't notice any difference, however the rails seem slightly less solid.

Is this the only issue that would arise from using the gun without the gas tube?

Regards.

JR

GBBRs do not need the gas tube; the barrels are not tapped with a gas port and the gas block+tube is simply for show.

Beaaaautiful. So I'll just be able to tape or glue the rail system to make it more snug.
