Real Sword short motor question

Hi everyone,

Does anybody know if Real Sword short motors are ferrite or neo-dymium?...or something else?

I'm looking to upgrade to a higher torque motor and don't think I need something as powerful as an SHS, Element, Lonex, etc. Plus the Real Sword short type high torque motor is the cheapest of the bunch.

I'll be using 16awg wiring, gold plated motor connectors and a Gate pico ssr2 mosfet on 1:16 high speed gears for trigger response on a V3 gearbox.

I'm trying to keep costs down as much as possible and Real Sword is a decent brand from what I've known.

try turning it by hand, if it spins freely, its ferrite. if you have trouble turning it over, its neo

Sadly, I don't have one yet. That's why I'm asking if anyone on the boards knows, but thanks for the tip man. Way better way of telling instead of opening it up.

I'm pretty sure its ferrite. Will let you know shortly since I have to take a Type 56 apart

haven't seen a stock neo motor outside of PTW and clones, so most likely ferrite

Some JG and A&K guns come with a blue belled 22 TPA neo motor. Some VFCs come with a red endbelled neo motor. Some ICS also come with a weak neo motor. Asia version G&Ps come with their terribad but powerful neo motors lol.

I can confirm this, "JG blue" is the first motor Pesto mentioned, its extremely common in low end Version 3 gearboxes OC2 labeled gearboxes would have it for sure. ICS one is a Turbo 3000, I remember pulling one out and throwing it on the fuse box at the store, it stuck on the thing and I was pretty shocked, G&P would be the m160 motor, I've seen them in C7, they also have a full aluminum piston in there which just ends up doing more trouble than its even worth

Havent seen a GOOD neo motor in anything other than a 2007 ptw lol

Since the cheapest ACM high torque is about $35 + shipping, I feel like anything you can get for cheaper that is not neo won't give you the satisfaction proportional to the cash you will pay.

You might just have to save up and bite the bullet later. Maybe look into used? Buy a neo can and stick some armature in there.

Like everything else, you get what you pay for. But as far as motors go there are only 3 categories:
-Crap
-Decent enough to use
-The best

Doesnt seem to be any love out there for ferrite motors, but theyre the best motors for LMGs
Lower heat and higher efficiency than neo magnet motors
