No-Tilt Barrel Mod for Magna Western Arms SV Infinity
As a warning to everyone else, do not shave off the barrel lugs on your WA to attempt to do a no-tilt mod (which works on TM 1911/2011 guns). Your gun will now have an automatic slide... unless that's what you wanted

Squid Porn Superstar, I love the tentacles!

Also why you should figure out how your gun works before bringing out the dremel.

Barrel doesn't tilt down when the slide is pulled back.
Dunno what the reason would be to do that. |

Its increasingly difficult to source a Western Arms R-Type chamber made of any metal whatsoever, so I figured that if there was nothing touching it, nothing would break. I'm just a paranoid running an aluminum slide with a plastic chamber tis all. I got the idea from StrikeFreedomo of this forum, who did this to his TM and posted the mod somewhere in the giant 1911/Hi-Capa thread. However, perhaps there was too much grease on my sears because the problem fixed itself and the gun shoots semi-only once again haha Last edited by Bobby Lemain; June 11th, 2014 at 00:22.. |

Too much lube? Sounds like a personal prob, lol.
Really, my We HiCapa hangs a bit en route to battery, and I wondered about dehorning the lugs (it's at that point that the slide hangs), but I've seen horror stories of 1911 owners who tried that and ended up with an epileptic, rattle-ridden ballistic bomb crater. |
