I didn't even look to be honest. I just want my money back.
I could have done a better job I think.

The sleeve was installed.
Ive installed 3 lonex hop-ups on my other guns, And they all work perfect.

This Is the response I got from the guy, after asking for my money back.

"The RHOP is an HS5 IR hop. Not a shitty chunk of rubber. It was fitted perfectly with the barrel and shouldn't have been removed as its now useless. I can't take it back that the 40$ Rhop has been removed man. I saw the picture of the Rhop Patch you posted and thats not how it was before."

uhh... I think everyone here that installs R-hops can tell you that is a fucked up install. Even HS5 the creator of the rhop was said 'wow'.

Also... 40$? stealth sells the kit for 18 bucks.

I'm smelling incompetent installer who wanted to dump his extra barrel and HU after he discovered he has no fucking idea how to install an R-hop and scammed someone to get his money back.

There's NO way a patch can end up like that outside of improper sanding. The material will return to its original shape even after being mangled up. That piece is looking like it was improperly sanded and jammed into the barrel. While gluing it to the barrel window isn't absolutely necessary, it's highly recommended. It's obvious the guy didn't even read the installation instructions.

Also, you can remove the patch and put it back as many times as you want, even after you glue it down.

I was hoping to hear the other side of the story. If the installer is confident enough that his original install was correct then he would be defending his work. I know I would.

To be honest, the R-hop itself is still overpriced. I personally just cut my own and allows me more room for error.

I install them for $45 each
Anyway I agree there's no way you can get a patch to look like that without actively mangling it. It's clearly oversized for the barrel window as well. This is what an IR hop SHOULD look like;

It's "overpriced" because it has to pay for the R&D that went behind a user friendly concept, the setup fees and other factors. But that's not the subject of this thread.

Yes, that is one screwed up install.

It's overpriced because they can charge that much and people still buy that shit. I think its pretty possible that all he did was go find some aquarium tubing that was the right diametre/thickness/material, buy a few metres for a dollar and sell them.
