Ive never tried a maple leaf VSR rubber either, but the only report ive heard about Maple Leaf was on a KWA, so a different type, the vsr rubber may not share the same deficiencies, but that it reduced accuracy in that one from the stock one

Kinda a necro, but thought I would update:

I have an A+ 60° hop rubber currently in my WE OB custom CQBR length rifle and holy hell do my BBs go far at 370fps. I have to dial the hop down more still as the rubber sends BBs to the sky even on very low hop settings (I also am only using .20/.25 BBs (indoor season).

I recently picked up a PDI W-Hold rubber that I have installed in my WE G17 as a tester for pistol use. I will run each rubber in each platform respectively, note the consistency in test and gameplay shooting for both, and after a few games I will swap the PDI into my CQBR and start testing again. Once I have some feedback regarding both rubbers I will post a comparison of both either here or somewhere else for people to view. I will also pick up in the near future a Maple Leaf 75° rubber and a Nineball rubber to compare those down the road as well.

Preferably I would like to do primarily outdoor testing for all rubbers I will be comparing as consistency at range is what I'm really looking to analyze, so I may have to wait until the weather is around the 20°C mark to give a detailed and true average-day review, but by summer I will have one done and will post results. I will do some indoor testing as well throughout the cold months to compare results to the outdoor testing.

As eluded to above, I will also be testing the rubbers in my WE G17, and likely my TM 5-7 as a gauge for pistol use.

Hopefully when it comes out it won't disappoint.

Ripper out.

Interesting. I too have found the stock WE rubber to be sub par. Was also creating a big 80 FPS swing from the first to last shot.

Dropped in a purple nine ball rubber that I had lying around and the FPS variance is down to 20 FPS from first to last shot.

Will be testing range this coming weekend, have high hopes.

I used a nineball purple in my first we M14, and that thing was one of the most accurate guns I've ever owned, I don't think you'll be dissapointed
I picked up a WE MSK yesterday and it seems to have a slightly redesigned hopup
besides not being swollen, it has a ring around the inside edge of the chamber like the nineball and modify ones have to increase airseal, though not as elegantly executed, still a nice touch, and feeding and accuracy are good

So far the A+ rubber is stellar in my M4. I have the still tune it a bit because even on low hop setting it is still giving my rounds slightly upwards arcing at 50+ feet as I am having to aim low at those distances.

I'm almost certain that the PDI W-Hold will have the same effectiveness as using it in my WE G17 its sending .25's on a perfect straight laser line with very little left-right deviation. It has actually increased the effective range (meaning long as well as accurate) on my Glock to a solid 75 feet. I'm sure the results will be very welcomed when coupled with the longer barrel and higher velocity of my M4 or my new SCAR.

More to follow.

Getting 8 MOA at 40 feet using an Angry Gun 16" 6.01 barrel mated to a new Modify hopup rubber. I'm sure I can get it to improve if I shoot from rest instead of just prone.

got a last quarter of 2013 made WE cqbr. the hop rubber in it is as hard as a marui one. i couldnt tell the difference between the marui and the new WE rubber. accuracy is good aswell so didnt bothered to replace the we rubber with my marui. also the nozzle is now gray in color very similar to marui nozzle plastics.
