G&G Max series spring? FPS reduction...

So here's what's going on...

I have recently bought a G&G CQB-R max series aeg and its rated to shoot around 460fps. Here's my issue; i'm not sure what spring is currently installed and furthermore, which spring should i install afterwards to get as close as possible to 400 fps.

If anyone has useful insight or advice pls share!

They are typically M140 springs.

You should test it. Even with the M140 they usually don't shoot 460fps (with stock parts). More like 430ish. An M120 would put you close to 400 (with everything else stock).

An M120 spring (120 metres per second) will get you the closest to 400 FPS.

If your gun has any decent compression than a 120 will put you over 400.

Get an M110 or an S110.

I had a max CQB-s m4 and out of the box it was shooting just shy of 500 (495 +/- 3) so maybe it ended up with a m150?

If you keep the short barrel, a m120 and a full cylinder might get you just shy of 400

Although I appreciate it may be frustrating to get a 'search the forums' answer, it's generally not a good idea to sass people.

Plus, he has a decent point; searching Google or even this forum might (and I use 'might' subjectively, since I didn't search either before making this comment) have granted results to you.

Anyway, lots of answers already. M110-M120 is where I'd go.
