hi i purchased a king arms colt m4a1 fully metal, wondering what type of battery to use. King arms website says "Intellect 1700mAh 9.6V Twin Type" but ive read 9.6 v is too much? i need help and guidance.

Whiny Attention Whore

I run a 1400 and a 1500 9,6V on my G@G M4.
They both work great and are well in the limit of the gearbox. |

if you understand how to charge and prevent over discharge a lipo, go for the lipo.
if not, 9.6v or 8.4v NiMH, one that can fit into your gun. if a gun can handle 8.4v, then 9.6v is fine. 7.4v lipo will also be fine.

I would say better with a 9.6V
If your motor has torque, the 7.4V is going to be sluggish and won't be as snappy as a 9.6V Last edited by SuperHog; September 17th, 2013 at 09:53.. |
