Looks like the Brits also use a front sight post on their L96s
looks like it might be a detachable front sight BTW, you might want to try and find a real steel front sight. AI does sell to the civilian market. MOAR edit: http://www.sportingservices.co.uk/accessories.asp They have some for sale. Fits RIS. You probably need to attach your own rail to the barrel, but easier than making your own sights :P In Canada, Wolverine Supplies has some (just checked).

Thanks for the link. My first step at this point is to re aquire an L96 to build on. I'm also in the process of turning a Kraken into a Bulgarian made Arsenal AR, but that's a pretty simple job. Looks like I have some workbench time for the next 6 weeks of winter...
Anyone know what groundhog tastes like?

necro bump
This is interesting to me, i've gotten used to shooting w/o a scope just by lining up with the rails.... I have measured the barrel on my TM and it's roughtly 30mm in diameter, just like how wide those rail mounted scope adapters are. but i think it might be a tad too high |
