independent film need's prop Guns, Kitchener

hey every one.
it's been a long time since I posted, but do to resent events I'm putting out feelers in the hope that I can get some one to loan or rent out their personal gear to be used in a independent film production.

I am friends with a local film maker (local to kitchener and Waterloo)by the name of Duncan Finnigan

An he has a project coming up and he asked me to help him find a Firearm that he will be using in his project.

Now he has a limited budget and buying a airsoft gun that he may only use once does not justify the cost of buying one. But he maybe willing to rent one from a willing person for the right price.

Details can be worked out and arrangements can be made away from this Forum.

Your can either contact me at Kwgeek@gmail.com
or you can contact Duncan Finnigan at the Multicultural-cinema-club in kitchener
or threw his email at the Multicultural-cinema-club below.
duncanf@theworkingcentre.org

I hope that we can all parties can come to a agreement that we all can be happy with.

thanks for your time

I'm thinking a pistol is what he's looking for, but he was not very clear on what it was he was looking for. I'm pm him and confirm if it's a pistol or if he wants something else.

Why not pick up a clear airsoft gun at Walmart and paint it black for your film. With all the hollywood effects pretty sure you can make it look real and it is disposible after your are film. Highly doubt a asc member us going to loan you their person gun.

Would you loan me your $20k camera because I am on a budget and need a good camera for a one time use?

I have inboxed him and I am willing to lend over 8 replicas to him for his shoot. It is imperitive to protect yourself and that can be done in a number of ways such as writing up a contract on how said guns and be used and what are the consiquences if there is damage and etc. Hog, do not flood these forums with negativity and hate.

GBBR , wrong choice of words. I am not gullible.

He said he was on a budget not charity. He gets paid, the actors gets paid. He can always but a used gun on the classified because he is AV'd and sell it again if he does not want to keep it after the film.

When is this replica needed? I'll be in the K-W area in september and I have several guns I could rent out.

Thank you all for your support

I just wanted to post, that Duncan has made arrangements for the props that he needs for his project.

With that said, I just wanted to point out that, while we would indeed would like it if some one would donate their Equipment to be used as a prop on out project for free, we were not planing on that being the case and we were willing and planing to negotiate a business deal, in which we would rent the Guns at a fair price that both sides cAn be happy with, An as a bonus, we were going to give the person that we were going to deal with recognition for their contribution to the project. to put it bluntly, the person that let's us use their Guns in the film, they are going to get to see their name among the credits.

But that is now moot, as we have moved passed that phase and we are not into production and filming and we no longer need to search for props for the film.
But thank you all for you contribution, maybe in the future, we might have need for prop guns once again, or another project like ours, so keep on the look out, an opportunity for you maybe waiting for you in the future.

thank you for your time
