More 1911 Issues
So my KJW Full metal 1911 MEU is having a few more issues.
When the slide comes back it is nice and fluid, however when it starts to get back forward it catches on the hammer, what part of the sear makes sure that the hammer is down far enough to prevent this? Also the slide lock has been fairly stiff to use the last little bit for some reason...

The hammer hooks. If it was working fine before, and this is a new issue, then either the hammer hooks are worn, or the sear is worn. It's most likely the hammer hooks that get worn, especially with the crap metal that KJW uses.

Yes it is more or less a new issue, the pistol really isn't all that old, maybe 3 months...They shouldn't be worn yet.

Fortunately, those components are compatible with Marui parts, so finding a replacement or upgrade wouldn't be difficult at all.... |

I should just get rid of this damn thing and get a WE or Socom Gear one, this one is horrible on gas.
I tried a few things last night to it, I am going to try today to see if it helped.

You can try grinding down the hump on the hammer to lower the contact point. It'll give the blowback unit an easier time when riding over it.
