Hop-up Upgrade For Echo1 Troy ind. MRF-MX

Hi Friends,

Last year I bought my gun...thought it was decent and it was, but as I am sure you all know...upgrading is the fun part.

So today I am looking at upgrading my Hop-Up. I have a couple in mind. Keep in mind I am rather new to the upgrading side of Airsoft.

I am looking at getting the Prometheus Neo, or the Pro Win hop up chamber.

I am aware that for both parts from my hold hop-up are needed. I would buy new gears.

However I would be curious to have input as to which is better or would work better or even if there is something else that would be best for quality.

I just purchased as Mad bull tight bore 6.03 and Prometheus bucking which are being shipped already.

Thanks for the input guys.

Why not just try the new rubber and barrel with your current chamber/unit?

Cause the feed isn't great. They Gun over all out of the box was sub-par. I had to rewire the gun as they gave way to much lead wire so much so my crane stock could not retract. All that to say, I am not impressed with the performance of the gun. I love the upgrade process. So why stay stock with sub-par performance or have a kick ass gun that runs like a dream...

AFAIK, hop-up chamber has little to do with feeding. Nozzle/tappet plate and-or magazine have a whole lot to do with it. There was a thread about a mod you could do with the tappet place spring that MaciekA posted yesterday. I'll try to find it and edit my message.

you can cut a couple coils off the tappet spring and bend a new loop. delayer cam and shortening the tappet fin can also help. locking the hop up down with the o ring mod will help a frigging ton.

To upgrade a gun you first have to understand what parts perform what functions...and what changing them can or can't do...

Changing the hop up unit has little chance of improving feeding. I added a sector gear delay clip on my G36 and now it's feeding flawlessly on terrible mags that used to just plain not work on full auto.

Only time I have seem a hop-up chamber causing issue was with a KingArms aftermarket chamber. the hole of the feed tube was oval, and the BBs would get stuck if the mag spring was too hard or too soft.

Took 15 minutes and a rat tail file to fix it.

Thanks for the input on the feeding issue. I will look into that.

I am aware of how things work in the gun styrak. I was told by a tech that based on the quality he would start looking in that area. Something similar to what was mentioned about the king arms chamber.

That all being said any insight on my original question would be appreciated.

Is it a metal body gun or plastic?
If its plastic itll likely have the two peice hop up (not much for upgrades of tjose )
If its metal then itll have a one peice you can swap out easy.
Id say lonex hop chamber and i like the prometheus bridge tensioner and smooth rubber but lotta folks have a hard on for the rhop

I have a BNIB Modify metal hop chamber that I can't use if you want it? I live on the east side of the city could meet at Deacons corner A&W. Cost me $25 + shipping. yours for $25 save the shipping. Or trade for a trigger switch assembly and a cut off lever... (version 2)

Its a plastic body. I do have the soft prometheus rubber on its way. Im keeping the gun on a m100. It has a two piece, but if I understand what your suggesting is a 2 pc cannot be replaced by a 1 pc?
