G&P RAS II Delta ring problem

As the title says, having some difficulties getting the 'delta ring' to install correctly (delta ring is the cap in between the front iron sight and the rails). Had Gump work on her when he was installing my metal body, however he's not having any more luck than i did. doesn't seem to be mounting anywhere and just sits there rattleing. anyone else have/overcome this issue?
thanks

Once you tighten the top and bottom RAS', it locks up. It's a free-floating ring and doesn't exactly screw in to anything. The tension of the upper and lower rails opposing each other will secure it.

This is one of the main differences between the RASII and the RIS/RAS I - semi-free floating outer barrel.

Do you mean the handguard cap or the delta ring? Because the delta ring sits between the RAS and the reciever. But if you're talking about the cap between the triangle sight and the RAS, you don't need it, my RAS II didn't fit properly until I took it off.
