Replacement Glock Parts.
I'm about to pick up a Meister Glock 17 from a fellow ASC member. It comes with a plastic outer barrel under a metal slide.
Since it comes with two TM mags, I'm hoping a TM-compatible metal outer barrel would fit. What companies would produce a metal outer barrel that would work with this Glock 17, and would there need to be any fitment done to the barrel or chamber to ensure it functions with the slide? What sources would I go to for the barrel and what kind of price might I be looking at if I don't find one here on ASC? As well, I plan to have the slide bead-blasted to remove the scuffed finish. What sort of material are the slides usually made from, and what comprises the finish? I'll certainly want to know before dismantling and blasting the slide and maybe doing irreparable damage. Any advice for me with this first non-crapsoft purchase would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by siggypoo; February 13th, 2013 at 16:24.. |

Can't fix my own guns. Willing to fix yours.

any TM type barrel should fit in theory
the slide is made out of crappy pot metal, depending on the power used, would probably cause more damage than help, I have successfully sandblasted pot metal parts, but never tried bead-blasting |

glock compatibles
So i found out..even after checking and making sure, that it,s best to find the brand extra mags for your pistol..i have a sweet WE G17 and the newly ordered Meister mag won,t slide in as does the mag it came with, won,t feed right either..so i,m gonna get rid of it or trade for a WE mag.
