e's Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 4.3: "Infinity"
Ever had one of those builds that you just couldn't stop thinking about? Like...you're about to fall asleep but then you think of something to put on your gun then you get back up to search through the Internet to look for said part even though you're tired as hell and it's like 4 in the morning? Then before you know it, it's time to get ready for work?
This is that build for me. I've always fancied ILLusion's, Mr. Hitman's and RacingManiac's hi-capa builds and for months now I've been dying to try my hand at building a hi-capa of my own. There's no real steel inspiration for the build. I just borrowed a little bit from builds I've always look at and fancied. Now I'm in over my head. There are so many things I wanna build for this platform it's not even funny. No I haven't abandoned my love for the Glock platform. In fact I prefer the Glock over the Hi-cap any day but building one of these things was just too much fun. I reaaaalllllyy wanna do another. FRRRRRRACCCKKKK! So here it is. This is my take on a Tokyo Marui Hi-capa 4.3. May not be as nice as the true hi-capa masters here on ASC but I like it!!!1 Before: STOCK Phase II: DIAGNOSING Parts inspection Phase III: INTERNALLY UPGRADED w/ Custome grip added PHASE IV: The final look The Parts: Illusion Kinetics 4.3 Duo Tone Infinity Slide Illusion Kinetics Fixed 4.3 Steel Bull Barrel Illusion Kinetics SV QB Low Profile Steel Hammer w/ steel hammer strut Illusion Kinetics Steel Sear Illusion Kinetics Steel Valve Knocker Illusion Kinetics steel T-Bar Disconnect Illusion Kinetics Steel Valve Knocker disconnect Illusion Kinetics Lightweight Leaf Spring Illusion Kinetics Brass Hop Up Dial Illusion Kinetics Steel Hop up arm Prog4 Stainless Steel Grip Safety Prog4 Stainless Steel Slide Catch Prog4 Stainless Steel Dual Thumb Safety Prog4 Stainless Steel Inner Barrel Prog4 Brass Hop up Chamber Prog4 Aluminum SV Trigger and Trigger base Guarder Enhanced Hammer Spring Guarder Enhanced Recoil Spring Guarder Steel recoil rod (silver) Guarder trigger stirrup PDI W-Hold Hop up Chamber Packing Prime Type A Micro Pocket SV Aluminum Grip Set (includes Mainspring housing, Magwell, Mag Catch) 2x Magazines- 1x KM Steel High Output Blowoff valve -1X Modify High Output Blowoff Valve TSC Steel Detent Pins that don't frigging work.... Freedom Arts Fiber Optic Sight System (Type N) Airsoft Surgeon Enhanced Loading Muzzle and Piston head Action Aluminum Floating valve Stock frame (sigh) I think that's all of it... Phase V: The Tuning Begins..... Thanks to ILLusion for being patient with me for asking a whole bunch of questions. And thanks for hooking me up with parts. UPDATE: Did a video with crappy quality: Click Here I didn't tune the gun yet so i suppose it's not yet ready....

LOL...
I didn't know if you still sold them!!!!!!!! I *NEED* your accessories thread By the way, the KM valves for some reason has such a harder time getting along with the IK valve knocker when compared to the Modify valve. It's weird. The IK valve knocker won't let the magazie go. The magazine doesn't drop freely. lol. And you were right about the QB hammer. I love how that looks. Gotta hound you about SVI frame soon!!!!!!!

Yes, I still had them.
I'm snowed in today... I'm doing inventory right now. Hopefully I'll get a thread up soon. Maybe I'll just list what's available first, and figure out pricing, descriptions and photos later. The KM valves... are you shimming it? It should work fine without shims... but it may be a little bit tight, still. Ideally, you should be shimming them so that the strike surface is just below level with the back of the magazine (when the magazine is pressurized.) The Valve knocker should then be tuned so that the strike surface is a bit shorter. That's the ideal setup with that combo. Otherwise, that valve knocker is longer than normal, to accommodate original Marui valves. |

The 4.3 is a bit lighter on the wallet because of the selection....or lack thereof. That slide and barrel combo is the friggin cream of the crop. Cycles the gun sooooo smoothly. So however expensive people think IK products, they are worth every penny. THe hammer breaks are so clean in this gun. Having worked on glocks for so long, I forgot how good it feels to have a sear/hammer combo that functions like that....

This is part of the exact reason why 1911's and Hi-Capas have their own division in competitive shooting. They simply dominate over other trigger/hammer systems.

Problem with modding the valve knocker in my case is that I have two different valves. On your advice, I'd have to cut the knocker to accomodate both valves. lol. Which I can do sooner or later. Quote:
