spring shrunk!
Can anyone tell my if a Prometheus 120 spring should loose approx 1/2 -5/8 in in length from new after it has been fired.
I installed this spring, then after about 50-100 rounds, I had trigger alinement problems, I dissasembled the gear box, fixed the trigger, then when inspecting the spring, found it was shorter than first installed, also the coils (3-4 coils) in the middle of the spring were compressed, is this normal?? Thanks |

Don't know about the shorter-spring issues, but the different pitch of the coils in the middle of the spring is 100% normal. All major aftermarket springs have this as a feature and is called "variable pitch". It adds consistency and de-compression strength to the spring.
