youre looking at a holo sight get the larger one with aaa batteries or aa batteries not the small ones they die in 2 hours.

Honestly it depends on the look you like. I don't actually use my optics. I opt for the clean and minimalist look of irons (I'm a big fan of the KAC BUIS sight plus triangle front post sight on the M4) also in airsoft you're not really going to use anything higher than 1.5x unless you're scouting around just because we don't get that kind of range on our guns. Other than that my preference is the Aimpoint (Comp M3) but I think the big thing these days is the Aimpoint T1 since it's super high speed tacticool.
If you like the T1 take a look at the Primary Arms Microdot. They're pretty high quality and actually work on real steel and hold their zero (don't use airsoft optics on anything larger than a .22LR because it won't hold it's zero).

In terms of aesthetics, it would be up to you, not us. That eotech should be fine. A scope is not useful in airsoft unless you are getting it for a DMR look.

A red dot is definitely faster, easier to use and probably work better with mask(less cheekweld issue if you run a riser). I think most clone Aimpoint is fine for AEGs, if you have a gas gun you might want to invest in a nicer one like the aforementioned Primary Arms....

I think the PA Microdot is like $80 USD + shipping. But IIRC they don't ship cross border so you might have to get it forwarded. Shouldn't be ITAR restricted as far as I know.

No I was asking the OP $$$$$$.
Is his budget going to get him a pill bottle taped on with some red paint or solar powered Trijicon.

This is a pretty good deal. http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...roducts_id=105. Mine's been on a gas MP7 for 2 years now.

PA now is closer to $110.....I just got one for use with my GBBR. They are on pretty short supplies but it is very much RS rated for use. When they were out of stock people are spending stupid money on eBay for one....
