Looking for KWC Tanfoglio Limited Custom Distributor in Canada
Like the title says... Hoping to buy a replacement slide & outer barrel for my pistol. TIA.
P.S. I tried to contact the US distributor Palco Sports but my email bounced. Will try calling them tomorrow. |

Unless u can get it from kwc directly i dont think there is really any aftermarket/replacement slide support fof many kwc guns.
I know uncompany has sigma40 and de slides but thats about all i see. How did u manage to do that damage? Id say yer best option is to just pic up another one seein as ther are only 200 bucks or so. Then youll have a bunch of spair parts for when it breaks somethin else.

Ya u may run into the same issue. Or it could just be a bad casting job on the slide or barrel and u may not have issue with a new one. Does it affect to operation or does it still work fine?
When u first got the gun did u lube up the contact points wherd the barrel and slide/chamber area meet and the slide and frame meet? Prety much all vbb will get scrapes paint wear and minor gouging in the top of slide and where the chamber and slide meet and along the slide rails on the frame. This is prety normal and happens more so on full metal guns and even more on cheaper guns do to low tolerances in the manufacturing process. An example would be that whole custom metal frame and slide from illusion airsoft or someplace like hurricane or shooters design will be prety high end and have tight tolerences and will work together smoothly with little to no criction and minimal wear on contact points. Another example would be a high end gun like a tm (tho plastic) or even a ksc will have much beter tolerances then a kjw or a we. If u are worried about this type of thing happening especially if it renderdd fhe gun useless then just buy a more high end pistol and get sometin that has good aftermarket support so when sometin does break or wear out u can get replacement parts. Tho id say if u want a cheaper gun i have a kjw m9 that ive used for years i put some upgraded springs in it right away and recently put a lonver tighter inner barrel in it but i beat the heck out of it vet it wet muddy sandy rarly clean and lube it and it works without a hitch verry durable pistol no trade marks rattles around a bit at the slide and the mag but functions fine

The gun jams & won't go into battery.
I lubed it religiously every 150 or so rounds. I'd love to upgrade to a better GBB, but here's the thing: Tanfoglio Limited closely resembles my IPSC Production gun (CZ75 Shadow). It even fits my production holster. If I go the TM Hi-Capa route I'm afraid the trigger feel won't be the same. All in all, I will probably go for another Tanfoglio. I will try to JBWeld the slide first & see if it helps. Besides, I don't see any reputable retailer in Canada carrying this gun, just a couple of surplus stores - been there, done that... Thanks. |

There are a couple of CZ's in the classifieds maybe worth a look at.

Have you though about a KWA CZ75? It would be very similar and much better quality. |

Ahh well of yer lookin for somethin close to its rs counterpart then me suggestin an m9 was pointless lol and i guess a 1911 isnt really close enough either tho im sure if you talk to illusion he can prolly give u an idea of trigger options for the 1911 hes a bit of a 1911 and hicapa guru around here and he builds some damn sexy pistols if u got a thousand bucks or so you dont mind droppin on what would probably be the best damn gbb youd ever buy.
I know when it comes to hicapa and 1911 he can bhild u baisicly whatever your heart disiers. And you could always ask him bout a tanfoglio or cz75 worst he can say is that he cant do it. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthr...light=illusion There is his link you can pm him with questions he is verry helpfull and a wealth of knowlage

Thanks guys!
Styrak, I did look at KZ75 before I got the Tanfoglio, but I'm having a second look now. From my RS shooting experience, the Tanfo feel is closer to a CZ Shadow than the original CZ75 pre-B version is. I realize this may be totally irrelevant to AS, especially the trigger feel. Also, buying a KZ75 unseen is a bit worrying - at least I was able to test-fire the Tanfo at a store. Hectic, I saw Illusion's 4.3 Hi-Capa build on youtube, and the thing is damn sexy, just like you said. Asking him to butcher a perfectly good trigger (production triggers suck compared to 1911s) may be an option, as long as he doesn't get offended. Thanks again! |

I think he has many different trigger sear and hammer options he may be able to help u get the feel your looking for with some of his custom parts. Bis parts thread is MIA at the moment hes been busy lately so hasnt had time to repost it but hes got alot of custom bits for hicapa and 1911 serise guns as far as i remember

OK, I have a buddy who agreed to try low temperature brazing - will know the results soon enough. Failing that, will do more research on KWA KZ75 and TM XDM, as suggested by Styrak and ILLusion.
Other than 'imperfect' slide to frame & outer barrel fit, is there anything else that may have caused the crack in that particular spot? Would a return spring that's too soft be able to cause this kind of damage? I mean, does the slide in recoil hits the outer barrel harder if the spring is weak? |
