TM hi-capa 5.1 Mag issue
Hey I just received 2 brand new TM brand Hi-capa 5.1 Magazines for my pistol,
and I am having some trouble getting them to fill completely. What is happening is when I compress the canister against the magazine, gas sprays everywhere and only capturing a bit in the magazine itself. I than put the magazine into my pistol (WE Hi-capa 5.1 Gov't Model) and the amount of gas it captured is not enough to cycle the gun/slide fully. I have made sure that I am holding them upside down and that the valve and nozzle are meeting correctly. Magazine: Tokyo Marui 5.1 Hi-capa magazine Gas: FIREPOWER High Powered Green Gas Because the mags are brandnew is there anything I need to do to them to fill the first time? Do I need to adjust the valve? I dont want to start messing around with it until I have some idea as to what the issue is. Any help and/or input is appreciated.

Is your canister near empty? If so it could just be transferring gas, not liquid propane.
Also TM's have a two way valve to prevent overfilling so they do spew a bit, a lot more when they're full. |

It is a full can of gas, The magazine itself is not completely filling so its not overfill spray.
Edit: My stock WE magazine that came with the pistol fills perfectly fine with the gas.

The WE fill valve and the TM fill valve behave differently.
The WE fill valve is a silent fill valve and gas will not escape at all during filling, and will just stop on its own when the mag is full. The TM fill valve will always vent gas while it fills, when it's full the valve will vent more gas, and you will see liquid propane being vented. WE fill valves allow the mag to be filled until the mag is completely full of liquid propane which bring FPS consistency down. TM Fill valves fill the mag and leaves additional room for air so there is some room for the liquid propane to expand which translates into better FPS consistency from shot to shot. You may get more shots out of a WE mag, but you'll have more variances in between shots than you will with a TM mag. That being said, you should still be able to get 1-2 full mag's worth of shots with a TM mag. |

Can the fill valve be tightened? Maybe it's loose and needs a spin or two.
