I threw in the old motor and the ROF is fine now, the gun feeds as it should (100% of the time). The gun still shoots around 305 fps.
I never opened the gearbox so I don't think i could have screwed up anything in there by re-assembly. Though in the 3 years i've had it, I've never greased a single thing (more because I don't really know what to grease/I dont like the idea of opening up the gearbox), so that could possibly be the problem. I was using a powerful battery, paired with a powerful motor, to pull stock clone internals so it's very possible something was damaged in the process. I'd rather not screw around with every single piece, I'll just get a whole new gearbox.... Anyone know if the KingArms gearboxes do a good job? http://www.airsoftparts.ca/store2/in...oducts_id=2282 |

Sending the mechbox to a local gundoc for a re grease is a hell of a lot cheaper then buying a new mechbox. If its not, then that gun doc is charging way too much.

This thing is......
Being an AK47, the fire selector becomes loose very quickly. What I did was throw on a washer and re-tighten it, worked for a while. After a bit it became loose again so I tried to screw it in more (big mistake). I ended up stripping my gearbox shell where the fire selector screws into, so now nothing to hold it. being fed up (and having another game the next day) I just crazy glued it in the "automatic fire" position and slapped the selector back on. That's worked so far and I can at least use the rifle. BUT this has stopped me from being able to take the gearbox out of the body without breaking off the fire selector. Getting a whole new gearbox just fixes my selector and FPS problems all in one go as well as giving me improved internals in said new gearbox :P |

i bought a king arms drop in mech box although version 2, after a couple game days the trigger got very finicky. I didn't want to take it apart but eventually had to. The trigger contacts were loaded with grease that i think had spun off the gears- i cleaned them and the trigger started working great. Shortly after that the piston head failed, it didn't break-just disassembled itself in the cylinder. I fixed that and coincidently installed it in a different body where it has worked fine ever since.

where do you suggest I use said loctite?
on my stripped gearbox/ fire selector hole? This is not my gun, but this screw is the one that the gearbox is stripped. The screw is the most "in" it can go and just screws into http://i37.tinypic.com/30jk11f.jpg |

He means fix it, then use loctite lol
Definitely low strength stuff on that screw. I don't recall the dimensions but you might be able to rethread it one size bigger and use a bigger pan head screw or something |
