We m4 aeg

I'm finally done upgrading my AEG. It was a good learning experience taking the whole rifle apart, from externals to complete gearbox dis-assembly. The WE M4 AEG was surprisingly amazing right out of the box, and I say surprisingly because for the price and for WE's first AEG it compares to some high end models. It has some interesting features, such as it's functional bolt catch. It can be fully upgraded internally and externally.

I have swapped to a SHS aluminum o-ring air nozzle, Madbull Ultimate Hopup, Madbull shark bucking with a H-nub (the prometheus bucking I originally installed wasn't sitting properly in the chamber so BB's would jam), Lonex 509mm 6.03 tightbore and a JBU modular silencer for the extra length. I rear wired the gearbox so that I could install a Daniel Defense 7" lite RIS rail, thus swapping the crane stock for one that could hold the battery. My M4 will mostly be used mid range so I sat a 2.5-10x compact illuminated scope and kept the triangle sight for quick swapping to carrying handle (more suitable for close quarters). A 300 lumen tactical light with pressure switch and magpul rail covers.

I honestly think the WE M4 is a solid AEG.

Probably a better place for this would be Airsoft Media: http://airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=30

Nice though. Although I don't think you need any optics in airsoft, much less 10x!

The gun looks cool, nice to hear good things about the WE. I do agree that the scope seems excessive for the kind of gun, but whatever floats your boat!

Of course a long range scope is too much, and even though I will likely never use it at 10x, fun to think that if I ever do I will see the impact in HD... But hey, don't we all want our guns to somewhat look "sexy"?

This isn't my first AEG, and I really purchased it only because of the price and the reviews which all pretty much say it's a lot better than we would expect. What ended up happening was my SR25 broke, and at that point I was quite new to gearbox mechanics. I couldn't fix it, so I decided to swap it's better internals to my M4 which made it an even better long range AEG. So really I do plan on sniping with it, but I like to think of my M4 as an all purpose AEG at this point. I even added a bipod to it, which really crowds my 7" rail, but it's really only for looks at the moment. Since it's a V2 gearbox and clocks in at 400fps, I really don't plan on playing outside this winter. I'm not a fan of playing in these closet sized interior fields... Or has anyone a place to recommend in the Montreal/Laval surrounding area?

I love my AEG and have been meaning to rear-wire it, what brand cranestock/buffertube did you use?
