CA M15-A4 Compact Seal Outer Barrel

So I'm working on extending the outer (and inner) barrel of a CA Compact Seal. I've got the Gas Block and RIS of, but can't seem to find out how to take off the outer barrel itself (the inner was a POC). Any help is appreciated.
EDIT: I also have a problem where the dust cover doesn't want to stay up. Any ideas on how to fix this?

outer barrel is held on by the delta ring. delta ring is a bit different from the usual kind, but you just have to unscrew the large bit that anchors the barrel on. you'll have to get a plumber wrench, or something similar, as a normal armourer's wrench likely won't work.

By large bit do you mean the part that the RIS screws onto (it also has holes running through it at regular intervals)? I tried using a Husky wrench (with a towel), but it didn't budge. I even heated i up to see it it was loctited, but to no avail.
I'm also worried about applying too much force and snapping the upper.
EDIT: What do you mean by plumber's wrench?

yeh, the bit with the holes. I forget how I removed mine, but it was difficult. It might also be screwed on in the opposite direction, so instead of lefty loosey, it's lefty tighty, if that makes any sense.

In terms of tools, I think you've got the right idea. If I recall correctly, I used a hammer and an Allan key and pounded it in directions by sticking the key into the holes that run through it, but that approach doesn't make much sense. Your best bet is with the wrench, I think. Try both directions, I can't remember if it's clockwise or counterclockwise.

Gonna try a strap wrench tomorrow (need to buy one) the Allan key thing didn't seem to work either. It literally has not moved a millimeter.

yeh, it's on really tough. strap wrench should do it, though

there didn't appear to be any locking agent on the threads when I got mine off, so I don't think it's locktited. But I could be wrong.

Is the cover slightly warped near the clip? I had the same issue with the dust cover on my CA M15a4 CQB, as did my friend with a CA Seal CQB. Im thinking its because the metal used for it is flimsy and bends/deforms and doesnt allow for the clip to engage after a bit of use. I fixed mine by lightly bending the cover back (more straightening than bending) - i used a metal ruler as a straight edge to guide it. Its not perfect but engages a lot easier now.
