WE Dragon 7.0 Upgrades
Bought this thing awhile back and have put in a 140% spring in it. I want to get a metal receiver for it but i am having troubles finding one. i also want to upgrade the inner barrel of the thing as i have a silencer for it (yes long ass pistol i know :P) Also cant find any TM parts to swap into it. if anyone has some input on this it would be much appreciated.

Yes you'll want to replace that receiver before your gun becomes an expensive paperweight.
Also, if you can't find parts to put in it, you haven't looked at all. The Hicapa is the M4 of GBB pistols, every part imaginable is available to upgrade/change/customize your Hicapa. |

Have looked for receivers on multiple occasions for this model, have yet to find anything in Canada. So you are saying i would throw in say the insides of a 1911 in it? and I still have not found anywhere an inner barrel with a 6.01mm with a length of 250-260mm. Do you know any good TM internal part retailers in Canada?

you'll need to find hi-capa specific parts as not all hi-capa and 1911 parts are interchangeable. Also you are unlikely to find a retailer carrying a lot of hi-capa parts aside from Illusion. You're best off buying the rest of the parts from the states or overseas.
And there are a few retailers selling longer inner barrels. Don't get to hung up on tightbore 6.01 vs 6.03. The difference may be negligible. I'd focus on buying a quality brand like nineball (which is 6.03) instead of getting a different brand of lesser quality. |

I have a tonne of parts in stock that will fit, but finding a metal receiver will be pretty much impossible to find in canada.
They can only be found overseas (most likely direct from WE only), and you will have additional difficulties bringing them in to the country. The only other option if you wanted to do an upgrade and to keep the Dragon setup, is to do a full ILLusion Kinetics conversion kit... but they are not cheap. My opinion: There is nothing worth upgrading in that gun, until you can get a metal receiver in there. Because any money you dump in to the gun will become wasted once the plastic receiver breaks, and it WILL eventually break. Generally, sooner rather than later. |
