Noveske Metal body parts ID and outer barrel problems
Hey guys, I'm installing a noveske metal body on to a friend's TM M16A2 and I'm a little stumped with some of the parts. It comes with a whole bunch of bags of little parts, no instructions or labels, and there are a few bits and pieces I'm lost on.
I'll post a photo, but just wondering if anyone could ID the parts. I believe some if not all should be in the fire selector switch, but take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks in advance! OAtes I can't seen to get the picture to load in this thread, so here's the link. http://flic.kr/p/ddyZJK Last edited by oates76; September 30th, 2012 at 23:55.. Reason: Added pic |

The little ball bearing thing and spring is for the selector. Basically the ball and small spring fits against the reciever where the dimples in the selector area are. That's what gives you that "snap into place" thing.
As for the other pieces I have no clue but I'll see if I can dig up my Madbull receiver instructions to see if it will help. EDIT: The other roll pin looks like it might be for your trigger guard, either that or it's for your bolt assist.

Thanks for the reply. The other roller is stumping me too, it's too small for either. Oh well, it will become apparent at some point I think.

The remaining pin and spring is for the forward body pin, it prevents it from falling when removing it. Look on the right side of the lower body, just beside the pin hole there is a small hole, you insert the spring, the little pin, and then the body pin.

Ok, stumped again. So I just about have the body alal together (changing over from a TM M16A2) and now I'm finding i cant mount the TM barrel assembly because the large TM outer barrel nut is a different size than the Noveske body. Aarrrrg.
Is this a well known problem with aftermarket metal bodies and original TM barrels? Advice or tips. Do i just need to buy an aftermarket outer barrel system now too? Thanks |
