Sub-350 fps
Anyways, I'm wondering what you guys do to get your guns <350 fps.
M100 spring for me chronos at 360 fps or so. |

Other variables include inner barrel diameter, length of inner barrel, tightness of seal to air nozzle, etc. In short there is really no set formula by spring rating alone. |

m90 spring, or put a few thousand rounds through the m100 spring

if you have an airseal nozzle, remove the o-ring. instant 10-15 FPS drop

M90 spring.
All the spring ratings were set based on a "stock" TM type mechbox. No bearing spring guides, bearing piston heads, tightbores, etc... All those things used to be upgrades, now they're stock in a lot of AEGs. |

Don't remove any air compression components, that will mess with your range and accuracy.
Also, there's a spring chart somewhere on ASC that gives you max spring ratings on an upgraded gun. Prometheus MS100 is about 345fps MS90 ~300 MS110 ~380 |

Right now, I do have the Prometheus MS100 spring in my gun. G&P MOE M4 CQB - kind of banging my head on why im shooting 360 with that spring...

Since you don't mention anything about BB, try use heavier BB, it rally slow the fps and make more acuracy, specially on windy situation.

http://msed.bbbastard.com/index.php?...d=53&Itemid=57 Shooting a 400FPS gun (on .20g) will reach sub-350 with 0.28g BB's, but will have almost 50% more energy at the barrel. Which translates directly to pain. |

Either that or maybe cause you have awesome airseal? If that's the case then just go to an M90. Either that or Guarder makes "SP85" springs that IIRC should bring you down to below 290 FPS. If it's for CQB to be honest 270 FPS and 350 FPS doesn't make too much of a difference in time to target assuming a max engagement distance of like 60 ft.

Add 10 fps per 100mm... so a regular M4A1 will be around 360... A lot of cheap brand of spring use funky ratings... and drop FPS or never have stablility... stick to Modify or Madbull. Both offer very stable readings across a whole bunch of springs. Short gun = M110 Long gun = M100 370mm is the limit between.. |

Just use an M90 spring. You want the smallest possible spring in all situations for increased efficiency and decreased internal stress.

short stroke a m130 so I don't get overspin.

That's super-inefficient and requires way more battery than you would need normally.
Just use a proper battery with an M90, no issues. |
