But yeah, simply put, heat and quench for hardness, temper and slow cool after that (and order is important here) for toughness.
Haha very funny! Well if you ever need someone to do a job analysis to prepare for a compensation system, and then preform job evaluations im your guy.

So I emailed we. I'll update when I get a response. Good info on the hardening process I would not have known that.

For home-tempering small parts:

Heat until red-white (with a regular propane torch, it takes about 15 seconds to get there... try to make the whole piece, not just the joint).

Remove the end of your kitchen tap (the air injector thing). Open cold water just enough so that there is no bubble but not spraying everywhere.

Put your hot piece under the stream for at least 30 seconds. Make sure that all the piece is covered by the stream.

Then place on a thick piece of metal (I use an old cast iron pan), and put in over at maximum.

If you have a self-cleaning oven, put on self-clean.

Let it there for an hour, then turn off the oven and LET IT COOL without opening the door.

Next morning, your piece is ready.

It worked for RC cars leaf springs I made from binding straps..

Best bet would be to have one made from a billet from a machinist. It would be good forever that way.
Yup...that one thing that sucks about WE, you can not buy direct from them ( same thing with KWC ). the part that u broke is for auto firing mode function, the bolt will hit the dent side ( that broken ) and the plate will pull the plate that connect with the selector. If you like to shoot in auto mode, it will definitely broken sooner.

Go to the machinist, and ask them to make one using steel plate ( same thickness ), my G39 and my customer's SCAR parts is broken too.it cost me U$ 10 each not include the steel plate that I must search by my self...for bending I saw them using the iron torch, when I make my custom plate I ask to bend more taller ( better taller rather than short ) so you can directly adjust the high, and I bend it more to the back ( the upper part of the bend plate ) so the bolt can hit ( catch ) more faster when auto mode.
