Lipo Battery Charger: Which wire is Positive (red)

silly question but want to make sure.

I am about to upgrade my tamiya lipo charger to a deans when i realize that both the wires are black. One side has markings on it and the other doesn't.

Which of these wires is 'positive'? The red wire equivalent that i will connect to the '+' side of the deans

it's the wire with the markings isn't it?

Check on your stock plug. The square bit is positive.

Is it black with a red stripe down the side? If that's the case then that's the positive side.

ie. if both wires are "black" then this one will be positive. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/F...red_stripe.svg

Also, in the case of tamiya plugs, just remember "Red is round".

And for deans, "flat black". IE when you lay the connector down flat on the table, the one flat is the black one.

Both Deans and XT60 connectors have polarity clearly marked
