King Arms M4A1 Barrel Nut...
I searched, and I found a thread but it didn't answer my question...
So I bought the barrel nut wrench to remove the D ring... But the question is... What direction does the nut loosen off? I know lefty loosey righty tighty, but the flash hider seemed to be threaded the reverse of that. I just don't want to end up over tightening the nut and cracking my receiver... Thanks amigos. |

It is righty tighty, lefty loosey AFAIK.
Unfortunately, that nut is on tight. My friend was trying to install a DD Lite Rail, and after we snapped my AR-15 wrench into pieces we had to use a dremel to cut off the delta ring, and then the barrel nut. |

The flash hider is 14mm CCW (so righty loosy, lefty cracky). The barrel nuts are always clockwise (so lefty loosy). But on some KA guns the barrel nut is Loctite'd/epoxy'd/something and can't be unscrewed (don't force it, you'll risk snapping the receiver at the narrow/thin point where the bottom of the ejection port connects to the front of the receiver).
I'd had to cut one off with a Dremel.

That was how I cracked the red plastic flash hider on my KA M4A1...

You need to use a barrel/armorer's wrench.
