Used G &G Prograde MP5-SD6?
Hi everybody
After browsing the site for the past six months, I decided to become a member. I have a pretty good understanding of airsoft, so I've been looking for my first AEG. First off, I know I'm underage but I play airsoft -airsoft, not crapsoft- responsibly and I want to move up from my Bravo Tri-Shot to something a bit more reliable for games. Since I can't checktheclassifieds, I started looking on kijiji, hoping to find an ASC member who posted there. So I found a G&G Prograde MP5-SD6 for $300 with An installed crawler barrel and a few other assecories. I've checked The forum for posts on it, but I can't find anything about it. Is it a good starter platform and AEG, with the few problems, or a problematic gun? I'm leaving off to my lake now for the week, so I won't be able to reply for about a week. Thanks inadvance. P.S. I'll be playing outdoors till I'm 18. |

Metal body, not half clear? Nothing wrong with it? Then yes $300 is a good deal.

Buying off Kijiji or Craigslist isn't half as safe as buying off ASC (but obviously as a minor you can't). Keep in mind that there could very well be numerous things wrong with anything you purchase off classifieds because you will probably never see or hear from the seller again in your life. Since you have not owned a gun before (and because you're a minor), I'd advise against making my first airsoft purchase off of anonymous classifieds. |

I'll only buy it if he's a asc member so I can check his trader ranking or whatever it's called, or for that do you need to be age verified to check it? I'm not sure on that. Thanks for the help so far. |

No, you can check it, just click on Trader Rating under the name

it's sort of a fine line you're walking... I believe that technically the seller is legally liable if he sells it to a minor and the minor commits a crime with it, just like an airsoft vendor would be if they sold a gun to a minor, just like a shop clerk at the liquor store would be legally responsible to verify the age of the customer trying to buy alcohol. Then again, there are a lot of mature minors out there and immature adults out there. Still doesn't make it legal on paper.

There is no law against selling an airsoft gun to a minor (there is in Ontario, where you are) but it's generally not a great idea.

Search from here (I can't link to the specific section because the site/url won't allow me to): http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/navigati...browse&lang=en
However this is what it says: Quote:
NB: "deactivated firearm" by the definition in that document covers paintball, airsoft, and pellet guns (.177 cal and 4.5mm).

Well I am responsible and will only be using it in Ontario ( buying in Manitoba ) on private property, in the middle of nowhere.
So back on topic, does it seem to be a good purchase? Or any other recommendations? |
