I have a HK G36C (VAG36C for the model) My NCStar Vest won't fit the mags. I'm looking at mag pouches and don't know what will fit G36C mags. Please Help!

I would think anything that could fit a STANAG or AUG size mag should work, no? They're a pretty similar shape.

I'm not sure what kind of shops you got out that way, but, just bring a cupple mags to the store, most of the time I found that the mag pouches (for the most part, unless they are single pouches) fit just about anything. I used to use a singe ak mag pouch as a pistol holster

Since G36 mags are "odd sized" (read: proprietary), here are your options:
- a STANAG/M4 double pouch will fit one G36 mag. You may need to cut the retainer bungies to allow for insertion/removal. These will be a little tight, and the corners/tabs of the mag will catch. - a single AK pouch will fit one G36. Comments regarding the STANAG/M4 pouches apply. - G36 pouches. These are the best options as they are designed to accommodate the corners/tabs of the G36, are smooth-walled with minimal edge stitching. Double pouches are ideal as you can store two clipped mags ready for use. I'm currently running a G36 primary, and the G36 pouches are great during mag changes. Before, I would be fighting to pull a mag out of a double M4 pouch, taking over a minute to swap out (depending on how badly the tabs/corners were snagged) and I only pulled one mag. Nowadays, a swap takes less than 10 seconds, and I have a mag pair ready to go! |

Another option ($30 - 35) is to buy G36 PMAGs, which are M4 pouch size. That way if/when you run M4 mags those fit snugly in the rig you already have.

the tops of the mags are ribbed... for the gun's pleasure... compared to the flat stanags, so maybe putting mags rightside up in pouches will make them a little easier to get out of a pouch. At that point you only have the attachment nub and the flared bottom.

I have an Australian vest from Platatac that has AUG pouches. It fit G36 mags fairly well.

I use Tactical Tailor double-M16 mag pouches. Work great.
If you go for G36 mag pouches, DO. NOT. CHEAP. OUT.
