Mauser Pro Tactical Sniper Upgrades?

I just bought a Mauser SR, and I am wondering how I can upgrade the gun to make it more accurate. I was talking to a man at a local airsoft store and he was saying that I would need to buy a new cylinder, trigger box, and other things if I wanted to buy a new hop up and inner barrel. Can I not just buy a tightbore barrel and hop up? Also, what kind of barrel and hop up would work with my gun? I'm not really looking for more fps, just more consistency with the shots.

I don't personally own a Mauser SR, but I can tell you from my experience with bolt action airsoft rifles that you do not need to upgrade anything other than what you mentioned.
-The trigger resistance might affect accuracy if it is a really heavy pull......but it will not make that much of a difference.
-The cylinder might be a concern if there is a huge variance in FPS from shot to shot (which would obviously affect consistent BB placement at long range).
-And a bi-pod doesn't make that much of a difference either.......unless you are very shaky to begin with.

A tight bore barrel and an after market hop up unit (if a quality one is available) will make the biggest difference. Followed possibly by barrel spacers.
But remember that regardless what you do to it that it can only get so accurate......after all, it is only airsoft. LOL

Thats what I was thinking, but I was told there is something about this specific gun that makes it different and more difficult to get the right parts for. If someone who has actually owned this gun and upgraded it could let me know what parts they used, and how to install the parts I would really appreciate it. I am still quite new to airsoft.

Anyone??? I'm guessing that if anything, it would be TM VSR 10 parts, as that is what 90% of the BAs are cloned after.
So can anyone confirm this for Wood??

start with a good hop up rubber and bucking , make sure to clean the barrel very well , and use good hvy quality bb's to start . get used to the gun first and then figure out what you need.

Maruzen type 96 clone

It's basically a well l96 but with a different stock.

I have worked on a ton of those rifles, the trigger box is meh, you can get away for a short time with replacing the trigger sears, but they will eventually break forcing a full trigger unit replace.

For the hop-up/inner barrel, you can replace the inner barrel with an off the shelf barrel for a Maruzen L96, the hop-up unit leaves much to be desired in terms of percise adjustment, but put in a high quality rubber and it should work.

In the cylinder, to get any long term reliability without getting slam fires at the bare minimum you will need to replace the piston, stick the high end brands such as PDI and Laylax for best performance.

Spring guides, cylinders, cylinder heads are all preformance boosters, but should not break on the gun under normal use and you shouldn't need to worry about them for now.

We cannot supply that info to anyone who is not age verified. As a rule on ASC, we do not help those under the age of majority to obtain guns or gun parts, or identify suppliers. Get AV'ed, and you will gain access to a wealth of information. If you are not yet 18 years or older, then it's a waiting game. It is however, worth the wait.

One of my buddies owns the same sniper as you......and it is GOD awful. It is complete stock internals as far as I know and the range and accuracy is about the same as my pistol. If yours is working fine then for all I know it could just be a hit or miss, but from what I've seen from the Mauser it is definitely not worth putting any money into. Much better to buy a good quality gun like TM.

I find it to be quite good for range and power considering it is completely stock at the moment. It's just those shots that veer off to the sides that I dont like. Some shots are very accurate (for an airsoft gun).
