Barrel Help

Hey guys, I currently run a stock inner barrel in my Kingarms M4A1 and was thinking of getting a longer inner barrel to equip with my suppressor (having my suppressor covering the exposed section of my inner barrel).

So my questions are,

1) Do I buy a inner barrel the length of my outer barrel with suppressor on it (509mm)?

2) What is the most recommended bore for improved accuracy and range without effecting FPS to much?

This photo shows what I am planning on accomplishing.

Any help is appreciated.

1.) Anything upto and including your barrel length with the silencer attached is fine, shorter is okay too... there's nothing fancy to overlook here, your just coverings up a tube with a tube.

2.) All tightbores increase the bore pressure and therefore increase muzzle velocity, I guess the answer would be 6.04mm as it's the largest bore size I've ever seen referred to as a tightbore.

That being said I always recommend Prometheus EG 6.03mm barrels or PDI 01's if you can afford it...

I use the Guarder 6.02 and it's alright for what it is. Nothing amazing like Prommy or PDI but it's still an upgrade and pretty cost effective too compared to ~$100 Prommy barrels.

Remember bore consistency and trueness are more important than having the tightest bore possible (typically 6.01). Plus the tighter the bore the more you have to clean it out to prevent dust and dirt from jamming BB's down the barrel. (I clean my 6.02 out once every few months and can report no detrimental performance with that cleaning regimen buy YMMV depending on playing conditions/environment and such).

Its been said that 455mm is the optimal length for accuracy so try find one around there and use a suitable suppressor to cover it.
