Future project.
Something that I want to put together over the winter while at school.
Everybody wants a SAW or M60, but us mortals cannot afford the high price. So I want to make a M4 type support weapon. Functionl is the most important thing to me, not looks. I want this thing to scare the pants off the other team when I open fire. I used a FAMAS as a secondary for a short game and I liked the quick light bipod and the ripping 300 bbs of death that I pushed on to the bunker..... etc.. I want to recreate that in M4 form. Here is the outline (subject to change at whim) External: ICS M4 full stock or a TM with a metal body. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Cmag (Have one on the way) Internals: Highspeed gears. OR Highspeed motor. I would prefer the highspeed motor because, A) cheaper B) don't have to open mechbox or reshim anything. So a fairly simple outline. The only question I am thinking about is the feed rate of the cmag, but it being electric it shouldn't be a problem. The other neat thing that I might do is try to build it from scratch using parts bought off the forum. Expensive, but would keep me entertained during the school year (as if mech eng wasn't entertaining enuf ) |

The problem with a super-high-speed setup is that often the mags can't keep up. I have an MC51 outfitted with Systema bearing bushings, Systema High Speed Gears, and an EG1000...all pushed by a 9.6 volt 2400Mah NiCad pack. It can't use hicaps, because they misfeed, but the rate of fire is easily the same as a FAMAS, probably closer to an M11A1. Hit the trigger and watch a solid stream of plastic death zip towards your opponent

He's using a C Mag which is electrically, winded. Either by a pressure switch that you have to press when you shoot, or one that is hooked up to the trigger. (I don't know which one). The basic thing is, if you get a hi-speed motor like the Systema ones, you might cause unwanted stress on the gears. On the other hand, if you got hi-speed gears, it shuold be less of a problem. My 2 cents.

For my understand, you have to part the high speed motor AND high speed gears along with 7mm or 8mm bearings to get the performance you need.
also you need to use at least 9.6V 2400mah large battery, or even 10.8V in order to achieve maximum performance. Please change to use 1 joule systema spring. Original spring is far too soft. bearing piston head and bearing spring guild is recommand to ease up the twist force for the spring under high ROF. A G&P motor heat sink is also recommand to dissipate the motor heat. This is experience after mod 10 + high ROF guns. Make sure your C mag is electric driven version. This combo will lead to a "water hose" capable of 25shot/sec |
