Newb with a concern...

So I've been looking into Airsoft for a long while now, been hyped up the entire time, but I do have some concerns.
The biggest would be that I haven't seen much about any activity/Airsoft community around the Edmonton area, which is a HUGE deterrent, because that's the area that I currently live in. I HAVE seen mention of players around Calgary, Lethbridge, and Red Deer, but I don't want to have to drive 3+ hours to a game and back.
I don't want to start investing in gear, ect... and then find out that no one in my area plays and it was all for nothing.
If anyone does know of/can point me in the direction of an Edmonton player community, that'd be awesome.
If not, than I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer until I get in the game.
Thanks

There are some Edmonton guys kicking around. And 3 hours isn't that bad, I often drive 2 or more to play the best games on the opposite side of Toronto. The key? Car pool. Much more fun with a few extra guys to ride along with, and being the guy with a car is a great way to meet people and make friends!
