VFC XCR Barrel

Im a new player looking to buy my first rifle and had a question for the experienced owners of this gun. Can I add a longer tight bore barrel to the XCR and use a shroud to cover the extra length ? Or are there plans for VFC to release a longer barrel themselves. It looks like its a proprietary barrel because the whole thing comes out as one piece.
Can somebody who knows please chime in ?

I'm pretty sure it uses an aeg barrel, and the "one piece" is the outer barrel, gas block, inner barrel and hopup. (the tightbore=inner barrel, and it goes into the outer barrel, and attaches to the hopup chamber), although this isn't 100%...

THat one piece barrel is such a great design. The hop up is stable as hell, the barrel does not move at all. I have used all different brands of mags and have not had a feed issue at all. Been doing airsoft since 1999 and the XCR has been the best gun I have used. (haven't used a ptw yet).

Vink,

That is EXACTLY what i was wanting instead of a silencer. Can i ask what length of inner barrel you're using as well as outer barrel length.

Vink,
I also wanted to ask you what battery size and type you're using.

I'm using a 363mm inner barrel (M4 length) with a 4" barrel extension. I'm using both an AK lipo battery and a Buffer tube lipo battery. Because the buffer tube threads into the adaptor instead of using a nut and screw, theres a lot more room. The buffer tube adaptor allows me to put a QD sling mount on the right side of the gun since I'm left handed.
