ICS M4 Front sight
Hey folks,
I got an M4 from ICS just this one: http://www.icsbb.com/web_e/html/02_p...nd3=24&num=587 Im trying to remove the front sight to place something else like this thing: http://www.icsbb.com/web_e/html/02_p...kind3=&num=251 Now I dont have the part yet but basically I want to remove my front sight to have a rail to use my magpul folding sight, does anyone know whats the way to do this?? I called Mach 1 where I got it but hes not sure and all of his M4 have a front sight, its only cause I use an EOtech and id like to be able to remove the front sight if I dont use it mostly at night and pop them both right out during the day. I know real M4 have some railing system that allows that but im trying to see what the best option is. thanks a lot |

If you remove the front sight on your rifle, the handguard will fall down.
You don't have a free-floating rail, it is held in place by the front triangle sight. If you still want to remove it, there is a small set screw under the front sling point. You have to punch out the pin first then remove the set screw and the sight will come off. |

Right! I knew the whole thing would fall apart but I was hoping I could replace the sight by someting else that had a ring to hold my handguard in place but so far I found nothing But thanks for the info ill keep looking and maybe Ill find something!
