Help! Feeding Issue
I recently purchased a STAR CMAG (auto winding), however it doesn't feed well at all in my G36. The mag barely feeds on semi, and sometimes feeds on full auto. I found a thread regarding this, and some of the suggestions was to increase the battery voltage. I've tried increasing the battery power, as it comes with 2 AAs. I added 4 more AAAs in parallel to it, but still nothing. The mag is also well lubricated too.
My gun feeds perfectly fine when using standard magazines, like a hicap. So the gun is not the issues. Any suggestions? |

From what you said, if your G36 feeds fine with other brands of magazines - this magazine is the main problem, nothing else. Perhaps you got a bad mag?

It's a autowinding mag. I bought the mag used, the guy before said it works before. Also, this mag doesn't use the traditional hi cap. It slowly pushes BBs up with the motor, instead of using a coil spring.

Check the specs online for the mag. If it's sound activated, there may be a problem with the mag's audio pickup or electricals. If it's slow to feed, it may also be the motor either getting old or having contacts/brushes fried.
Kinda hard to tell without seeing it and putting it on a bench tho... |

I've even tried wiring a 7.4 LiPo to it, and still nothing
