fictional guns
Now I don't know if this topic was done before, but i was just thinking.
with Canadian laws stating that most airsoft guns are classified as replicas, it just makes me think that if somebody was to go about making a number of airsoft gun that are modal after fictional guns that we might be able to increase the number of airsoft guns that are allow in canada. Now I say this only because of this little tidbit I read off 007 airsoft Quote:
Now from what they say the JG Thunder Maul Dragon AEG is not a replica ( I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt) while on the other hand the TM Glock 26 Advanced is a replica. that being said, I know that many of the people that play airsoft, do so because of it's higher degree of realism that it offers over other sports like paintball. but I bet there are a few people out there like my self that would think it would be very cool to hit a field with something that looks like this or maybe this for all you halo players out there. cause when you get down to it, most aeg's have similar guts, a gear box, some form of hop-up and so forth. so the toughest part of the whole thing would be to making the outer shell to whole the mech. (I am over simplifying this I know) but also think what sort of business one could create buy selling "officially licensed" video game guns and the like. I know a lot of fan-boys spend a lot of money on replica weapons from there favorite video game or anime. Hell just look up "portal gun replica" on google and you will see the level of detail a person will go threw to make fictional gun just that little bit more real. now this is all just an idea and I know that, but what harm is there is putting it out there. Some one at some point decided that they like the mask idea from "Army of two" that they created a bunch of then to be used in airsoft, and now you can see them all over the place. Hell if you look at Evike.com you will see how they have ton's of video game and moive themed airsoft masks for sale. http://www.airsoftpost.com/index.php?cPath=30_154 Just a thought. P.S Yes I do have too much time on my hands.

Take your too much time and use it to do some reading. It's no news that there are Stargate themed games, or other Sci Fi type scenarios.
And sadly, the folks at the border cast a wide net over gun-shaped objects including pulse rifles and so forth. Y
