Meat Tenderizer For the 1911
Does anyone know if there are any "meat tenderizer" comps/strike face for the 1911? I really like the look of it on the new TM Warrior, but it still looks like a Hi Capa to me. So I'd like one for the 1911. Scouring the overseas retailers for a while has only come up with the normal type compensators.

What's the difference? Same thing.

Much to my dismay, not all Capa parts go onto 1911s. I had originally wanted to put a Capa slide on my MEU, but found out from Illusion, that the MEU design made it a bit difficult. Had it been a standard 1911, it would have been much easier. Since the Comp looks like it attachs to the bottom of the gun, I'm uncertain as to whether it'd be cross-compatible.

You could also use the punisher comp. as a base for that, a lot less work to be done. Basically cuttin the comp just behind the first opening and serrating the face would be all is needed. You could even make one with a dremell. |

a) the pistol is either pushed at the muzzle by your target b) it is used as an alternative force block (AFB) When the slide is pushed backwards, it will not fire. If a device is attached to the slide, then the slide will move along with it if pushed backwards. This is why all AFB/"strike face" devices are attached directly to the frame. If it's just for the sake of aesthetics, then by all means, do the modified compensator route. I realize this is for airsoft anyways, and the chances of us actually using our pistol to control someone is highly likely not to happen. |

I'm not sure having a Capa slide installed would help, since it looks like the SF actually clamps onto the frame somehow. Although, if I could get the OEM SF for the new Marui gun, it might work that way. I don't know if the Strike Warrior frame and the MEU frame as the same size and length, though.
On second thought, it might be worthwhile to just wait and see if they make any aftermarket kits for the Strike Warrior and buy that.

I meant to use the compensator as the basic shape. Cutting a face a serating it is a lot easier than to start with a block and make everything.
Using a shorter slide, the "comp" would sit on the dust cover, which can be drilled and two screws tapered into the comp. With the bushing section of the comp cutoff to let it stay there while the slide cycles. |

It's the same kit I have on my Desert Strike Warrior: Even a 3.9" or Detonics slide would not be short enough to fit a standard Government length dust cover frame while allowing enough room to fit a frame mount compensator or strike face. A Detonics length slide alone, extends beyond the end of the dust cover on a Government length frame.
