Famas Gearbox Issue

Hi everyone! I come with a question that i need answered.
My Famas doesnt fire anymore....

Here is the run down off events:

Sat for about 4 months over winter.
Charged the 8.4V battery up in installed to the rilfe.
Turn her on and nothing happens....
I hurd a little buzzing noise inside the gearbox area.
So i hemmed and hawed if i should open up the gearbox....I did.
I checked all the gears, piston, shims, and greased areas and they all checked out.
The motor seems to be kinda funny tho. You cant spin it really easy.
I pulled the motor right out of there and bench tested it with 8.4v straight to it and all it does is buzz...

Notes:

The rilfe is a TM Famas SV STOCK! No mods what so ever!!! Just a scope
Never stored with the battery is it.
Zero corrotion on anything
Rifle is in like new condition.

So in saying all the what ya think. Cooked motor after 4 months of not using it?

Thanks.

Almost read the title as FAMOUS gearbox issue.......

Motor sounds shot, and not in a good AEG way.

Hmmm so you think the motor is cooked.

Now why the hell would the motor die when its not being used??? Now that is what gets me.

I just dont understand that part.

The motor is, essentially, an electromagnet turning on a central axis. If it's not turning, but your hearing a hum, then that means there's juice, but not enough to turn. A motor failing could be any number of things - old lubricants seizing up, bushings and/or brushes wearing out, carbon/oxidization buildup on brush contact points, gears locking/jamming, etc. Just replace the motor - nothing you can do unless you want to take it to an electrician.
