Slide
On my pistol when it's stored I keep the mag out but I always pull the slide back to make sure it's empty before I put it away. I've left the slide back in the locked position a couple of times because I forgot to reliese it. Is it ok if I leave it locked back or could it wear out the spring?

Dirt and dust getting inside your gun will be more problematic than leaving the slide locked back overnight. Just be more disciplined when you put your toys away.

Its the same as leaving BBs in your mags. If you leave a spring compressed long enough it will eventually wear out.

How do you forget to release the slide back to it's original position? You remove the mag, pull the slide back, verify that the chamber is clear (even using a cleaning rod if you'd like), release the slide and store the gun. Also, don't forget to remove all the bb's from the magazine. Remember to leave a bit of gas in the magazine so that your o-rings don't dry up.
Buy a pistol gun case for it. They are only $24.00 at Canadian Tire.
