Agreed running 1500rpm with mags is a bad idea, dry firing that fast will mess things up quick.
But I've been running 1500 on my 249 all last season, no problems other than I HAD to rewire the box mag motor from it's 9v to my 11.1 lipo to get it to keep up with the feeding lol

I suggest you just wire your boxmag to a 7.4 micro battery or a 11.1. You don't really need A huge C value or MAH rating to power the gears in the box mag. I've had a couple of friends wire 7.4 to their box mags

The 11.1v 4900mah 20C lipo that powers my 249 has 2 wires that split off to power the box mag, so everything runs off the same battery
Simplicity and convenience all in one

i have like 8 Firefox 11.1v 1200mAh 20C lipos. they are a bit longer than the kingarms one and still fit in my buffer tube just fine. granted i did modify my buffer tube with a better means of attaching it to my lower and added 3/4 inch more room.

Good thinking. 4900 mah should be more than enough.
