Magazines needed!

Hey guys,

So like an idiot, after the last outing I had with my (gas) gun I forgot to empty out the gas and now it leaks.

Great.

I'm wondering where I can get some HFC Glock magazines? Or perhaps Another set of magazines that would fit the gun? It's a glock 17 I believe.

Thanks,

-Runin

I'm pretty sure you're supposed to keep gas in your mags when you store them.

Also, try soaking the O rings before you buy mags. See if you can fix them.

I am not familiar with airsoft.

What my question is, does the element of surprise work on a typical airsoft match?

you are suppose to leave gas in them. removing all the gas prior to storage allows the orings to shrink thus causing more leaking.

HFC's just tend to leak. you are pretty much stuck buying HFC G17 mags. though the HFC mags will work in a TM gen 3 G17, the TM mags won't seat in the HFC G17 rendering them useless unless you have a TM .

HFC guns are pretty crappy and all but guaranteed to fail/leak, I advise selling it and buying something of at least KJW quality or up (TM, KSC/KWA, WA etc.) avoid HFC and KWC like the plague.

This is true on both parts. If you soak the O ring in 100% Silicon oil(not CT spray can shit) you have a chance on fixing it. Also next time make sure to add some oil when you refill. Helps keep the seal and lubed.

Follow my DIY 'blue gasket maker' mag repair thread. I've saved a couple crappy hfc mags now and they still hold gas.

HFC guns SHOULD all be able to use TM compatible mags. Though HFC guns are complete and uder shit and fall apart if you look at them wrong.

They do not. At least mine will not accept an of my TM mags. I have 10 TM g17/18 and extended mags. None fit in my HFC.
