Service Review - Surplus Pont-Rouge

So I was getting my fix of ASC and saw the banner in the top corner for Pont Rouge and decided to give it a click. I had never heard of them before but was curious to check them out. I was impressed with their pricing off the bat, and ended up ordering a 5.11 tactical Jacket. I chose the cheapest shipping, allowing a week or so to arrive. I was surprised to see the jacket arrive the next day from Quebec City to Ottawa, and I wasn't charged for shipping at all!. Plus, they threw in a free 5.11 ball cap. So a few days later, with some christmas gift money in hand.. I returned to the site to order an assault pack and go bag. The same service was received, this time with 3 days shipping due to the holidays.

Bottom line, good pricing on a lot of items.. and great service. I'll order from them again. Will likely review the jacket and assault packs when I see how they hold up in the real world.

yup I ordered my Blackhawk Bandoleer from them and they had great service.

btw did you get a Sabre Softshell?

hey thanks for the post ive never checked them out either but looking at it now it looks like they've got a lot of cadpat which is nice.

Sure did, the Tan version. It's great, I've been wearing it in -20 degree weather with just a t shirt under it and stayed very warm. Not to mention spots for cool patches on the arms and an ass load of pockets, the main ones being fleece lined to keep hands warm.

ya it's got great functionality and lots of pockets.

but one thing I despise on this thing is the wrist velcro... it doesnt stick LOL

I bought a set of TruSpec Desert Tiger BDUs from them before the holidays.

I'd previously been hit with a messed up 17% duty by CBSA when ordering new BDUs from the US, so I'd been reluctant to order my DTS from the US; when I saw Surplus Pont-Rouge carried it -- for LESS than I would have paid ordering from OpsGear (one of the few places that carry DTS and ship to Canada), even before duty and taxes -- I jumped on it.

Top notch service. They seem to have a lot of interesting stuff in stock, I wanna go check them out in person next time I'm in Quebec City.

I ordered from Pont Rouge on Christmas day (of all days). I wasn't in any rush. I received an e-mail from Canada post the next morning advising me that I had a parcel coming. There was a tracking number and an estimated date of arrival of 11 Jan 2010. The parcel arrived today (5 Jan 10). Everything I ordered is there. I am very satisfied with the cost, the service and timely response.
I highly recommend them. It's one way to beat CBSA.

Being from Quebec City, I shop regularly at Surplus Pont Rouge. I have always had excellent service. If they dont have it in stock, they will order it and call as soon as it arrives. Also the owner and most of his staff are all active members of the airsoft community.

Their customer service is trully awesome and they have good price too. Had a problem with a battle belt and they sent me and pre-paid postage bag for returning my stuff, the person on the phone took also a good 10 minutes to verify his inventory and was willing to made some switch with items that I have ordered previously so that everything was to my liking.

Truely awesome service, ask for Guillaume, he is the man!

ordered a black rothco bdu shirt and a new balaclava from them a few weeks back, recieved it 2 days before the estimated arrival time, the prices are great and they answer any emails you send them pretty quick

really great guys to deal with
