In the price range you are looking at now $400-$600 you can find some deals on brands such as King Arms, VFC, and G&P. I suggest buying used from the classifieds, there are always deals to be had. Just make sure you read the sellers trader rating and ask what if there are any problems/damage to the gun.
Oh and get age verified.

If you're eighteen, and can get AV'ed, do it. If you've gotta wait for exams to be over, and to have more free time (It really takes no time to meet with a verifier), then wait. You will be very, very glad that you did. Whether you want new or used, there are so many options available to you once you've got that little white tag under your name. If you're after new, the retailers here have better stock at better prices.
Trust me, you'll be amazed what five hundred bucks in the classifieds can get you. I bought an AK before I was verified from a local shop. Not only did it die on me almost instantly, but once I was AV'ed I went on to purchase two better AKs including mags, slings, batteries etcetera for just a little bit more (fifty bucks, including shipping) than the first, put together. |
