Alright. If youre looking at upgrading an ICS M4 this is my recommendation:
-gaurder cylinder -gaurder cylinder head -gaurder polycarb piston head -6.03mm tightbore (madbull works great) -systema hop up bucking or G&G. (they both work great) This is the setup I have in my gun and it works wonderfully. Early on I tried beefing up the spring and stripped two gaurder pistons and the stock ICS piston. If you want your gun to preform reliably I'd just try and get perfect compression out of the cylinder and stick with the stock spring. The turbo 3000 motor in the ICS M4 should be giving you around 20rps and with perfect compression, around 350ish fps. I've now put about 20000 rounds through my gun on the same piston, Another stock ICS one. If you want longevity and reliability out of your gun just upgrade the compression of the cylinder and add a tightbore with a new bucking. You'll be impressed with it. |

Guarder make some middle to low grade parts. I use them only when there is nothing else available, except for their hop-up rubber (clear one it great).
Modify is already a step up, but if you want the best, Prometheus is in an other league. |

I'v had my ICS M4 upgraded since 2005 with these parts:
Prometheus 407mm/6.03 Tightbore Systema Gears ICS MA-56 upper cyl. set. ICS Turbo 3000 motor.( It's an old ICS & came with a crap motor the 2000) After all these years it still chrono's @ 398 fps with .20's after five years, not bad!
