Wow... how do you mistake a red dot sight for a scope?
As for magnified optics on a short gun? Yeah, I'd do it if I wanted something for scouting. Buddy of mine brought an ACOG to an indoor game with poor lighting, he could tell who was on who's team better than anyone else. It'd be ugly as sin, but it's functional.
AS for bullet hoses? Nothing beats the Carter Special:
and yes, that is a "Scope" (An Elcan to be precise) on a CQB gun.
